Matt has been passionate about performing from a very young age and was starring in school shows as various animals, minerals and vegetables before getting his first big part as Joseph in his primary school nativity! Since then he has never looked back, performing in many musicals and straight plays including playing the part of Fagin in Oliver, Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar and Frocin in Tristan and Isolde. After completing his A levels in Witshire, Matt then undertook a three year degree in Drama and Theatre Studies at Aberystwyth University which he recently completed achieving 1st class honours. During his time their he performed in multiple productions including The Dresser (Electrician) and A Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchitt) with Aberystwyth Community Theatre Group, and Coram Boy (Thomas), In Extremis (Bernard of Clairvaux) and Twelth Night (Fabian) with the Drama Department. Matt also has experience with being on the other side of the stage and co-wrote, directed and produced a play with his two best friends. Bound To Shadows was performed at the Morlan centre, Aberystwyth in January 2008. Matt's claim to fame was becoming one of the last one hundred Josephs, out of the ten thousand that auditioned as part of BBC One's Any Dream Will Do, appearing on TV! He has recently returned from America after working for three months at a Christian Summer camp for seven to fourteen year olds, where he taught drama. Blue Remembered Hills is his first professional acting job, and he is very excited to be part of the project.
